Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Blondies

We’ve all been there when the cravings kick in. Maybe it’s during your mid-afternoon slump or right after dinner - or maybe you’re like me and feel like you’re constantly combating cravings left and right! Regardless, there are times when you should definitely indulge and these blondies just might be the answer. I mean, with the chocolate and peanut butter combo, there’s just no way you could go wrong!

Creamy peanut butter, buttery dough and decadent dark chocolate combine to form this one-pan dessert that can be baked from start to clean-up in under an hour. This makes them perfect to throw together for a weeknight dessert or when those cravings inevitably hit you. Adding extra chocolate to the top just before they’re finished baking makes for extra gooey goodness too! They’re quick, easy, and worth every calorie.

ingredients

2c dark brown sugar

1c melted butter

1/2c creamy peanut butter

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

3 eggs room temp

2 tsp vanilla

2 1/2 c flour

1 c dark choc chips

1 dark chocolate bar, chopped

instructions

Line a 13 by 9 inch baking dish with parchment paper, letting the excess hang over the sides. Mix brown sugar, butter, peanut butter, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Slowly add eggs, being sure to mix well between each one. Beat in vanilla extract. Add flour and chocolate chips and mix until just combined. Place half of the chopped chocolate on top. Bake at 350 for 25-30 min. Then add the rest of the chocolate and place back in the oven until chocolate is soft.

Serve warm and with a scoop of your favorite ice cream.
